The Land Of Ming Yi

“The Land of Ming and Yi” is one of the funded works of the first Hong Kong Comics Support Project. The first issue of the comic book was published in July 2022, and it is now on sale in major bookstores in Hong Kong!

A story of “Yin Yang” and “Five Elements”…

Book Description The Land of MingYi – MingYi Yu Fei is on the theme of I-Ching (Book of Changes), Yin (darkness), and Yang (light) and five elements.

MingYi is a concept in I-Ching meaning the darkness befalls and the world becomes chaotic. The conflict between the Gods of Yin and Yang – the God of Wood and the God of Gold – led to the fall of nine suns in ancient times. A thousand years later, a sorcerer destroyed a sun which is the last golden bird in an attempt to resurrect the immortal God of Gold.

The adventure story of a group of teenagers with different personalities begins.

Pen Creative Limited and challenged herself in different types of creations. She isinterested in studying Chinese philosophy and numerology.

Yau Yan / 幽人

A teenage boy, who lived and grew up in Ching Yau village 青丘村, has been protecting the relic. He was deemed to be the child of intruders. He suffers from the criticism of villagers about his identity. This made him wish to escape from the village.

Mo Kau / 無咎

The second son of the King of the Kingdom Jin. He is innately incapable of recognizing words. Seemingly dorky, but very flexible. He was attracted by the story of the Gods of Wood and Gold and decided to study mythology with Bei Fu比輔 .

A Mysterious teenage girl

Only Yau Yan 幽人 can see the girl. She is always snarky with him. Yau Yan sometimes questioned the existence of this mysterious girl.

Mao Yu / 茅茹

The daughter of Chai hai齊諧 daughter. She has known Mo Kau 無咎and Ah Qing阿慶 since she was young. She dreams to become a WuXi(Iatromantis) as her father does. After the sun was eliminated, she turned into a snake with wings.

Bei Fu / 比輔

He believes there is the existence of god and monsters. They found the relic in the Ching Yau forest and suspected the death of his friend was related to Wu Xi(the Iatromantis).

Chai hai / 齊諧

witchcraft. He uses his witchcraft to bring prosperity to the kingdom but also manipulates the kingdom to eliminate the sun and bring the God of Gold to life.
